Originally from South Africa, Sue worked for UKAid for over 21 years. During that time she gained much experience working in difficult environments including in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, and also in Sierra Leone during the Ebola crisis of 2014. Sue has undertaken a number of field trips throughout Ukraine, meeting KentRelief partners and beneficiaries. During her spare time Sue loves to walk and spend time with her Pakistani rescue cats.

Simon works predominantly in corporate video production, and helps KentRelief with their digital media. He gets mad about the world’s injustices and although it doesn’t feel like enough, he donates a small portion of his time to good causes. Simon has lived in Spain, Australia and Mozambique, but is pretty happy with Kent, for now.
Originally from Ukraine, Iryna has been living in the UK since 2014. With her family still in Ukraine, she feels a strong empathy for those affected by the war. She’s driven to offer assistance in any way possible.
Iryna’s professional background is in Human Resources, recruitment, and, more recently, education. She worked for leading international companies in the Retail and Professional Services sectors in various roles, including Training & Development Coordinator, Human Resources Projects Specialist, and Recruitment Consultant.
Her hobbies are art, travelling, nature walks and most of all she loves spending quality time with her children.
Philip works in the civil service and enjoys travel, sport, and music, with a particular passion for Ukraine after visiting twice since the full-scale invasion, and he has been a long-time supporter of Kent Relief. He likes cooking Ukrainian food, watching Ukrainian football, and has a growing collection of football shirts from clubs across Ukraine.
